Dress Code

We want every student to reach their potential in an environment that is safe and free from learning distractions.

The Fees uniform policy was established to help increase a sense of pride for academic and social responsibility.

Uniform Policies

COLORS: Navy blue, black, khaki

Must be one, solid color - black (can be black jeans), navy blue, khaki
Blue jeans with NO rips
Bottoms can be pants, shorts, capri pants, cargo pants, jumpers, skirts, or skorts
All base layers/underclothes (tights, leggings, compression shorts/pants) MUST be solid black or white
Shorts cannot be shorter than 3 inches above the knee
Bottoms may not be leggings (as pants), sweats, athletic joggers, baggy or saggy, or contain any decorations on them

Shoes MUST have a strap on the back
Crocs are okay and DO NOT need to be in sport mode
Shoes must be safe and appropriate for school
NO flip flops, slides, slippers, or heels higher than 2 inches
Shoes, socks, and/or tights may not have inappropriate/offensive images or decorations on them
Tights, if worn under shorts or skirts, must be solid black or white

Headwear/Hats:

One solid color beanie/sock hat can be worn outside only and must be (school appropriate)
Hoods on outerwear can be worn outside only
Baseball caps, bandanas or other styles of hats are allowed to be worn on campus

Spirit Days:

Every Friday - students may wear a school spirit shirt, Tempe Union High School, or a college shirt with blue jeans, or normal uniform bottoms

Dress Down Days:
Students may earn dress down days throughout the school year. Please follow the rules below.

All tops MUST have sleeves: No tank tops, racerback tops, tube tops, or midriff- baring tops
Pajamas are NOT allowed
Undergarments must not show
Length of bottoms cannot be shorter than 3 inches above the knee
Makeup, shoes, and headwear standards remain the same as with the regular dress code
Clothing must be in good condition with no excessive rips or tears
As always, IDs MUST be worn at all times
