Student meditating

Tucked between the bustling cafeteria and the boisterous band room at Fees College Preparatory Middle School is the Calming Room. The room has a zen-like quality, with low lighting, calming music, and voices that don't rise above a whisper. In function and in purpose, the juxtaposition of the room compared to the typical middle school liveliness outside its walls make the Calming Room the perfect oasis for the school’s new meditation group.

Clubs & After-School Programs

“I chose to work here because they have a dance program that they support and care about. The arts are not supported at every school that you go to. So to be at a campus where the arts are supported means a lot to me.”
